Two things drive paving decisions on the Atlantic seaboard: salt and space. Salt-laden air attacks poorly cured concrete pavers and cheap jointing, so we specify denser pavers and stabilised joint sand on exposed sites. Space is the other constraint – many City Bowl and seaboard properties have no truck access at all, so material gets barrowed in through a side passage. That is real labour time and any honest quote will show it as a line rather than bury it.
