What the ground is like here

The far south combines coastal salt with steep, rocky ground and some of the strongest wind on the Peninsula. Exposed joints lose their sand to the south-easter here faster than anywhere, so joint stabiliser or a sealer earns its cost on open driveways. Many properties also sit on rock at shallow depth, which changes the excavation approach entirely – sometimes for the better, since sound rock is a better base than anything we could build.
